The 'Go Live Together' function will be available in the coming weeks.

YouTube is planning to introduce a "Go Live Together" function. The change will enable qualified creators to invite a guest to go live alongside them.

Eligible YouTubers will notice a "Go Live Together" option on their profiles in the coming weeks. Creators will need to submit their stream data, including the title and thumbnails, as well as visibility and monetization options, before they can begin the stream.

After clicking the "Invite co-streamer" option, content creators can invite a visitor to their live stream, which will lead the guest to a waiting area. When both the host and the visitor are ready, the host can select "Go Live."

Creators will be able to plan a live stream with a guest on their PC and then broadcast it from their mobile phone. They may even go live right away from their cell phone.

The functionality will allow YouTubers to rotate visitors during a livestream, albeit only one guest will be able to appear on the live broadcast at a time.

Advertisements can run during the stream, though the host will earn the ad revenue. The stream will only appear on the host’s channel but TechCrunch reports the company has indicated this may be temporary.
